Heather is an artist, maker and teacher passionate about modern making techniques and traditional arts and crafts methods. She also teaches web design.
JIM TOWN
Jim Town is a Maker and Computer Science Professor at Sacramento City College. When he isn’t working in the CIS tutoring lab, he is usually building robots that don’t look like robots in the Makerspace.

Judy Coates Perez loves painting, sewing, hand stitching, knitting, designing, making and experimenting while most often using nature as her muse.

Now retired, Tom spearheaded the creation and development of the bustling campus makerspace, a dynamic, stimulating, welcoming space open to all students, faculty, and staff. The SCC Makerspace values equity, social justice, and inclusion to all in the true spirit of an empowering global maker movement and “maker culture.”
