Welcome to Maker Camp

(Sponsored by AT&T Foundation)

  • Ground Rules: Please review our code of conduct.
  • Agenda: Monday through Friday
    Start at 10am, Lunch at 12:30-1:15pm, end at 4pm
  • Week 1: half of the students build robots, half on merch design and print, then swap.
  • Week 2 & 3: All merch, some robots or electronics.
  • Friday is an open day to work on what you want.
  • 3d printers are available if you bring files
  • USB flash drives will be provided.
  • All materials are free to students.

High school students from the Sacramento area will participate in a dynamic 5 day Maker Camp at Sacramento City College’s Makerspace this Summer!

What: Our intro-to-college summer maker camp provides hands-on experience with various tools, equipment, and technologies, allowing you to learn by doing. This practical approach can deepen your understanding of concepts and skills in fields like robotics, electronics, programming, and design. In just one week, you will collaborate and team up to make robots, solder, fabricate, program electronics, use the laser cutter, printers, fabric printers, and make all kinds of cool stuff, and keep it! You will learn about college life and career pathways, all the while having fun.

Free! All materials and supplies are included, and lunch is included every day!

When:

  1. Monday – Friday, July 22 thru July 26 (40 students), 10am to 4pm
  2. Monday – Friday, July 29 thru August 2 (20 students), 10am to 4pm
  3. Monday – Friday, August 5 thru August 9 (20 students), 10am to 4pm
